Acoustic Research ARVC100W In-wall Stereo Volume Control is designed for the full audio spectrum. Place the volume control in the same room as the remotely located speaker and adjust the volume without leaving the room. There is no separate power required. In simple terms, the unit will see the amplified signal from your receiver (or a separate amplifier or other sound source) and will automatically send the amplified signal to your speakers based on your volume setting. At maximum, it will pass through 100 watts (RMS) which is more than ideal for the majority of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers.
